Finding Miracles

Brian was an employee at the Hampden County Registry of Deeds from 1998-2010 and was recently part of a film project that we'd like to share with you.  He worked in the photo department assisting in making copies and managing the inventory of books maintained in our office.  He was a dedicated employee and was always willing to lend a helping hand.  During our Christmas parties, he would even treat the staff by playing Christmas music on his piano.

Below is a video his family developed and published on YouTube called “Finding Miracles”.  The video illustrates Brian and his family's journey that led to his many triumphs in swimming and playing the piano.  Take a look to hear more about Brian's story and to see what he's up to today!

Registry of Deeds Attends Agawam Senior Fair

Yesterday, Register Ashe and his representatives attended the Agawam Senior Fair held at the Agawam Senior Center.  The event was a great success and we were able to meet with many area residents.  We found that several people were interested in the Homestead Act, as well as conveying property ownership in order to best protect their financial interests.  Though the Registry of Deeds does not dispense legal advice, we were happy to direct residents to various legal and governmental resources that may be able to provide answers these questions.  We thoroughly enjoyed our time in Agawam and look forward to attending next year!

Thank you, Melissa and family for visiting our office.

Registry Attends 2015 Westfield Senior Options

Last week, our office set up a booth at the 2015 Westfield Senior Options at the South Middle School. We attend this event each year and always look forward to meeting with some of Westfield's seniors. Many remark that they enjoy this event because it gives them the opportunity to gather a variety of important information all in one location.
Community outreach is extremely important to Register Ashe and the staff of the Hampden County Registry of Deeds and we delight in having the opportunity to assist the public in any way that we can. Westfield Council on Aging Director, Tina Gorman did a wonderful job in pulling this off and we thank her for inviting us to participate! See you next year!
