Register Ashe Issues his Semi-Annual Release and Forecast for Fiscal Year 2012
Today, Register Ashe held a press conference relative to real estate transactions within Hampden County. His semi-annual Release and Forecast for Fiscal Year 2012 conveyed statistcal information, such as revenue collected and documents recorded by the Hampden County Registry of Deeds. The Register also gave his projections for the state of the economy, specifically the condition of the housing market, for Fiscal Year 2013. Mr. Ashe also brought to light certain new challenges faced by our office in terms of making more out of less, as well as the numerous changes we have made in order to improve the ease in which one conducts business with our office.

Register Ashe Presents Proclamations to 2012 Polanie Club Scholarship Award Winners
Register Ashe recently attended the 2012 Polanie Club Scholarship Banquet at the Polish American Citizens Club. The Polanie Club was organized on May 22, 1931 to promote religious, civic, patriotic, cultural and educational purposes. Through the years, the Club has supported a number of charitable, civic and cultural activities and organizations. The Club supports the Shriners Hospital, Baystate Breast Cancer Program, March of Dimes, the Polish National Alliance Youth Camp, the Ronald McDonald House and the Springfield Symphony Orchestra.
The Club's largest fundraiser is the annual Fashion Show, whereby it is able to provide a minimum of three scholarships per year to college students. This year’s scholarship award winners are Steven Pawela, Teresa Kruzel and Joshua Fredette. Register Ashe presented proclamations to each of the three scholarship award winners for their outstanding achievements both within the classroom and their community.

Office Closed in Observance of Memorial Day
In observance of the Memorial Day holiday, our office will be closed on Monday, May 28th. Normal business hours will resume on Tuesday, May 29th. On this day, we honor those brave men and women who have paid the ultimate sacrifice, so that we may continue to live our lives in freedom. Register Ashe and the staff of the Hampden County Registry of Deeds would like to wish you all a happy and safe Memorial Day!

Hampden County Registry of Deeds to Attend Senior Options 2012 in Westfield
Tomorrow, April 19th, representatives from the Hampden County Registry
of Deeds will be attending the Westfield Council on Aging's Senior
Options 2012. The event will be held from 10:00 am to 2:00 pm at the
South Middle School, which is located at 30 West Silver Street in
Westfield. Registry employees will be on hand to provide information to
the public regarding real estate transactions within the County.
Declaration of Homestead forms will also be available, as well as a
notary public to notarize these documents. Providing quality customer
service is a highly valued aspect of what we do at the Registry and we
look forward to assisting those in attendance!

In observance of Patriots' Day, both the Springfield and Westfield offices of the Hampden County Registry of Deeds will be closed on Monday, April 16th.
